Cookies include both session cookies and permanent cookies. Session cookies are deleted from your computer’s memory when you close the browser or log out, while permanent files are deleted automatically after a fixed period of time.

2. WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO YOU USE? FOR WHAT PURPOSES?

We use the following types of cookies:

  1. essential cookies – these ensure that our website can function correctly. We use them to ensure that the website is secure and is displayed correctly, and to save your cookie preferences. Without these coolies, it would not be possible to use the website;
  2. functional cookies – these store your preferences regarding the functioning of the website, enabling you to use the website conveniently, for example, by avoiding the need to enter the same information (e.g., your choice of language) each time you access the website.
  3. analytical cookies – these allow us to measure the performance of our website by observing website traffic, including analysing what information users who access our content are interested in. This helps us adapt our website to the needs of its visitors. To do this, we use the Google Analytics tool, which automatically collects information about the use of our website.

At the same time, we emphasise that our website does not use advertising cookies or third-party cookies. 4. DO COOKIES ALLOW YOU TO IDENTIFY ME?

In most cases, we will not be able to identify you and the data will be anonymous to us. It is only possible to associate this data with you by obtaining additional information that we do not have.

In most cases, we are not able to identify you and the data is anonymous to us, which means that it does not constitute personal data within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (OJ EU L 119, 4.5.2016, p. 1 as amended), hereinafter also referred to as the ‘GDPR‘.

It is not possible to associate this data with you without additional information, which depends on your continued activity on our website. If, on the other hand, we are able to associate these data with you, they may become personal data. In that case, the basis for the processing of your personal data would be our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) to enable us to present content on our website.

In Google Analytics, we run a function to anonymise the IP address before it is processed further. This ensures that the real IP address is hidden as early as technically possible. Once it has been masked, the IP address can no longer be associated with a user. It is not possible to connect the anonymised IP address with other data held by Google. Google Analytics reports are deleted after [….]. The reports do not identify specific individuals.

More information on how Google Analytics works can be found at https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/cookie-usage?hl=pl.

If, on the other hand, we are able to associate these data with you, they may become personal data. For more information on the processing of your personal data, including your rights in relation to the processing of your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

5. ON WHAT BASIS DO YOU USE COOKIES?

When you visit our website for the first time, a pop-up window with the following message is displayed:

Cookies To ensure the smooth functioning of this website, we may store small files – called ‘cookies’ – on your computer (or other device). Most large websites do the same.

The window gives you option to select and consent to the use of certain categories of cookies. The box for essential cookies is already ticked, as the processing of these cookies does not require your consent. Enabling you to use the website, including informing you that we use cookies and storing your cookie preferences, constitutes our legitimate interest. Providing these data is voluntary, but you should be aware that without them, our website may not function properly. If, using these cookies, we could be able to identify you (which could only be possible together with other data provided by you), you have the right to object to such processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will take into account the objection if we determine that there are valid legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or there are grounds for establishing, pursuing, or defending claims.

However, we will only use functional and analytical cookie on the basis of your consent, according to your preferences provided in the manner described above. The provision of this data is voluntary.

As mentioned above, we do not currently use advertising cookies.

You can delete cookies at any time by changing your browser’s security settings. In these settings, you can also disable the collection of cookies. However, if you disable the collection of (essential) technical cookies, your use of the website may be disrupted and the website may not function properly. Technical session cookies are deleted from your computer as soon as you close your browser; if you have logged out, they are deleted when you log in (depending on your browser settings). Permanent technical cookies, on the other hand, are deleted only after a fixed period of time.

Another option is to change your browser settings so that you are notified every time a cookie is stored. You can use your browser to automatically or manually delete cookies.
